Seminar: Public Procurement in Canada
Seminar The Embassy of Peru in Canada, the Consulate General of Peru in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver, Procurement Assistance Canada, the Peruvian-Canadian Chamber of Commerce (PCCC), and Promperu Canada are pleased to invite you to a seminar on public procurement in Canada. The Canadian government is one of the largest buyers of goods and services in Canada with an annual purchase volume of approximately CAD 22 billion. Chapter 14 of the Peru-Canada Free Trade Agreement, in force since August 1, 2009, contemplates the participation of Peruvian and other Latinamerican and Caribbean companies and products in Canadian public procurements. The main objective of this seminar is to familiarize Latinamerican and Caribbean entrepreneurs based in Canada with the public procurement process (bids) at the federal level. They will then be able to serve as a link with their respective countries exporters to offer goods and services to Canadian public entities. It will also allow them to participate in other bids in Canada. They will also receive a survey that we would appreciate completing in order to be able to offer them specialized information sessions by sector; in addition to a user manual for the public procurement portal.
