Andres Torres

Mr. Torres is an industry leader in Information Technology in Chile and Central America. Industrial Engineering at the University of Chile with a minor in E-Business. Fulbright Scholar in 2005 with an M.Sc. in Management of Information Systems at Texas A&M University has been driver of major technological changes in Chile led by the business venture - Interactive Multimedia - which developed much of the first generation of e-commerce websites in Chile. He is currently the President of IT Consulting, a company focused on providing advice on strategies and implementation of corporate information technology, business model innovation and process engineering redesign. He is the former Dean of Engineering at ESEN University, and currently is also the Business Editor for Derecho y Negocios magazine, invited columnist for Estrategia y Negocios magazine, and founder and city leader of the platform of innovation and entrepreneurship First Tuesday in El Salvador. He co-founded First Tuesday in Guatemala, Honduras and helped founding the Panama chapter. As coordinator of the Public Policy Committee at Camara Salvadoreña de Tecnologías de la Información he helped the discussion on the Digital Signature Law in El Salvador. He also serves ad-honorem as President of Texas A&M Alumni Foundation in El Salvador, is co-founder of the Rugby Federation of El Salvador, founding member of Fusades and member of Proinnova comitee.
