ProNET Training: helping Caribbean SMEs become export ready
The Caribbean Export Development Agency supports firms within CARIFORUM to develop their businesses specifically for export. The agency offers services such as capacity building and technical assistance, access to finance through grants and the provision of useful information and resources to support a business’s needs to become export ready.
The Caribbean Export Development Agency in partnership with the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) offers ProNET training to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).
The program works alongside local Business Support Organizations (BSOs) providing export-related marketing training to SMEs. This improves regional entrepreneurs’ basic business skills while at the same time increasing their productivity and competitiveness.
ProNet is designed for SME owners who want to grow their business and become more competitive. The initiatives is meant to help firms navigate of the opportunities available under the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA).The program is currently designed for manufacturing enterprises, with plans to expand to firms in the services sector.
