Costing and Pricing Techniques for SMEs

At this training course SME’s will learn a wide range of costing and pricing techniques, cost calculations, market analyses, negotiations, price defence, pricing products for the European marketplace, to help them prepare for closing business deals with European buyers.

This course is especially suited to companies which want to face upcoming requests for quotations (RFQs) with confidence. In this course, companies and other manufacturers and exporters in the sector will work interactively on real-life business cases. Both group and individual assignments in cost/price calculations, negotiations and price defence will take place. Part of the study will include specific analysis of the company’s current cost/price calculation methods, using an overview that will be put together prior to the course. (A special online session, two weeks before the course date, will guide the company through this process). This course will address a wide range of cost/price issues.

The company will share knowledge and experiences with their business peers to be able to: 

  • Understand relevant cost/price models
  • Execute their own cost/price calculations
  • Navigate the structured negotiation process
  • Develop and execute a company price defending strategy

Minimum requisites for eligible companies:

Your company is a Small or Medium Enterprise (SME). This company already exports to the European Union or is seriously interested in embarking on it. This training course is especially designed for managers and directors of manufacturers and exporters who are responsible for the cost/price calculations and RFQ process. All participants must have an excellent command of the English language.
