The Center for Arbitration and Mediation at the Chamber of Commerce of Quito offers an alternative dispute resolution mechanism to resolve conflicts in an efficient, transparent and safe way. See the explanatory video below (in Spanish).

The Arbitration and Mediation Center (CAM) of the Chamber of Commerce of Quito has an ISO 9001:2008 certification by the Swiss company SGS.

At the Center, you will be able to inform the referees about legal disputes where the parties have agreed to submit their disputes to arbitration. The mediator, in turn, is a third party to work with you and your partner in finding the best solution to their disputes.

Services Provided by the Center for Arbitration and Mediation:

Arbitration: Arbitration is an alternative dispute resolution method recognized by the Arbitration and Mediation Law of 1997 and the Constitution. In arbitration, the signatory parties to an arbitration clause, submit their dispute to a third party whose decision is final.

Mediation: Mediation is an alternative dispute resolution method recognized by the Arbitration and Mediation Law of 1997 and the Constitution. In mediation the parties reach an agreement with the help of a qualified mediator.

Training: In addition, the Center for Arbitration and Mediation constantly provides courses for mediators and arbitrators with the best professionals in the country.
