Once the project team has finished the diagram of the network activities, they must determine which of the various paths is the most critical. The critical path starts at the beginning of the project and continues through to the end, and will take the most time compared to other paths. This is also the path that does not have any gaps or time floats between activities, meaning that a delay in any of the activities in this path would cause the project to be delayed.
