Mr. Belmonte's expertise focuses around energy and environmental entrepreneurial activities. He is and has been actively involved in leading these topics within a variety of key players worldwide, including: Esound Energy, MGM Renewables, MGM Innova Capital, Isofoton North America, Fotowatio Renewable Ventures, IADB, World Bank. Among other, Bthrifty Holdingsis the latest company that was created and founded by Mr. Belmonte, rapidly growing. He holds great expertise on sustainable project development, manufacturing, investment and advising activities around renewable and energy efficient technologies (including environmental related activities). With more than 16 years of experience in these sectors, Mr. Belmonte has structured, managed and closed financing for over $2 billion in projects worldwide. In addition to founding Esound, B-Thrifty Holdings & MGM Renewables, Mr. Belmonte has been CEO of Isofoton North America, Inc. and CEO of Fotowatio USA, Inc., the US subsidiary of Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV), one of the leading developers of Renewable Energy and a global operator specializing in the generation of clean energy. Prior to these, Mr. Belmonte worked in the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), a multilateral development financial institution based in Washington DC. At the IADB, he worked worldwide on the financial and technical design, and construction, of public and private energy and other infrastructure projects. He has pioneered project structures for sustainable development projects in emerging markets and has been at the forefront of the collaboration between public and private entities for the development and construction of large-scale infrastructure projects. Mr. Diego Belmonte holds a Master's in Science degree in Environmental Engineering and holds a bachelor degree B.S. Environmental Sciences from the University of California.
