Organized by the Inter-American Development Bank and the Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce of Jamaica through Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO), Outsource2LAC Global Digital Services Summit – Jamaica 2023 promises to be a unique space for Latin American and Caribbean digital services companies to reach new markets across the globe.

 

Outsource2LAC is a long-standing initiative by the IDB's Integration and Trade Sector, spanning over a decade, aimed at unleashing the full potential of our countries in the fast-growing global digital services industry. Outsource2LAC highlights the significant benefits that this dynamic industry can bring to the economies of our region, including creating high-value jobs, technology transfer, a surge in foreign direct investment, and a diversified export market, and covers a wide range of topics related to the digital economy in various verticals such as automation, logistics, animation, video games, agtech, fintech, software applications, and e-commerce solutions, to name a few.

 

Building on the success of eight previous editions of Outsource2LAC (seven in-person and one virtual) and leveraging the ConnectAmericas business community, Outsource2LAC Global Digital Services Summit – Jamaica 2023 will convene multinational corporations, startups, entrepreneurs, and trade promotion organizations to explore the latest trends in digital technologies and identify new international business opportunities through B2B and B2G matchmaking meetings. 

 

The regional Summit, hosted in a single country, is a platform where participants from Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, and North America can discuss the newest developments and innovations in their fields. Thus, the event's agenda has an international perspective to bring together a diverse range of ideas. 

 

 

 

If you are a registered ConnectAmericas.com user, you may be eligible to receive the following benefits*:

*Subject to approval by the Selection Committee established by the IDB:

•Free access to the event

•Free registration for the Business Meetings

•Voucher for a percentage of the cost of the air ticket cost.

Important note: The amount of support will allocate on a case-by-case basis, depending on where the participant is traveling from (origin), and will be paid via reimbursement within 30 business days after the event has concluded.

•Three (3) hotel nights in one of the official hotels designated by the organizers (entering on June 13 – Check-in time – and leaving on June 16 – check-out time)

•Ground transfers Airport – Hotel – Networking Activities – Hotel

•Networking activities (welcome and cultural cocktails)

Companies eligible to access these benefits will be selected by the IDB/ConnectAmericas, based on the following criteria:

 •Belong to the global export services sector (e.g., BPO, KPO, ITO, LPO, among others, including direct providers of these services, subcontractors, specialized consulting firms, specialized legal firms, and other firms directly linked to the sector).

•Have relevant International Experience in your field of application.

•Have specialized industry quality certifications or equivalent.

•Be a small or medium-sized "SME" company (this will be determined based on annual revenue and number of employees)

•Have a functional website.

•Belong to one of the IDB's borrowing member countries (see the list here) 

How to apply to receive this benefit? Just follow these simple steps:

•Ensure you have a User Profile (personal) and your Company profile is complete on ConnectAmericas.

•Submit your registration application (which will close on May 5, 2023, at 11:59 pm EST). Remember that space is limited. Sign up and be one of 100 companies to receive these benefits!

When and how do I determine if I was selected to receive the benefit?

•If your company is "Approved," the organizers will contact you to tell you the process to follow to obtain the benefits and participate in the event.
