The IDB with the support of Google launched ConnectAmericas for Women: a new business services portal for women business owners and entrepreneurs from Latin America and the Caribbean.

The launching of ConnectAmericas for Women took place with the participation of Luis Alberto Moreno, President of the IDB, Adriana Noreña, Director of Google for Hispanic America, and included a moving message from Michelle Bachelet, President of Chile, encouraging women entrepreneurs to join the platform (in Spanish).

More than 2,000 women entrepreneurs from 40 countries learned first-hand the work that the IDB has been carrying out to close the gender inequality gap in the region and heard the valuable tips offered by Adriana Noreña on leadership and Google’s active role in supporting women entrepreneurs in Latin America.
