Pushed by planted pine forests, the crude gum extration is growing in Brazil year after year, making Brazil the second biggest crude gum productor over the world. Crude gum is the mainly raw material used in the manufacturing of cosmetics, cleaning and hygiene material, tires, explosives, solvents, varnishes, among others 2.000 products. Nowadays, the exports are an option for the pine wood and crude gum industries in Brazil, by the fact that the perspectives of the home market´s growing are unpromising. As mainly destination: USA , Argentina, Mexico, United Kingdon, Germany, Spain, Portugal, India, South Koreia and China. Over the last decades it´s seen a substantial increasing of the wood products coming from planted forests, especialy pine ( more recently eucalyptus ), rather than those coming from native forests. The pine wood is used in civil contruction, furniture manufacturing, pallets, plywood, fiberboard and others.
