Candice Sankarsingh is an instructional systems designer and a communications for development (C4D) specialist. Her primary focus is instructional technology for international development and humanitarian contexts. Her professional projects involve elearning course design and development, principles of andragogy, and knowledge management practices. She is an advocate for the use of quality open educational resources (OER) and INEE’s minimum standards for education in emergencies. She is a registered UN vendor and has provided services to the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), United Nations United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) United Nations Office of Project Services (UNOPS), The IDB Group, UNICEF‘s Supply Division, UNESCO, and the World Maritime University (Malmo, Sweden). Candice is a Fulbright Scholar and a 2012 graduate of Lehigh University, Pennsylvania with a M.Sc. in Instructional Technology. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in French & Spanish (double major) from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine where she graduated with First Class Honours in 2001.
