Sobre mí
I am a natural-born Entrepreneur, with a solid engineer (computer science) background and a passion for Marketing and Management.
I have always believed on the importance of knowledge and networking and I use it creatively to accomplish the results needed or create new things. I am extremely flexible and I have always had the initiative and resilience to achieve where others may give up. I love to communicate (in formal and informal contexts). I have significant experience in team leadership and I have been able to build and grow mature skilled teams, capable of meeting the expected goals and objectives.
I am currently leading Retmarker (formerly Critical Health), a company from the Critical Group that I've helped creating, that provides innovative tools for progression monitoring of Retinal Diseases in the Global Market. Due to the work at Retmarker/Critical Health, I am the principal inventor in Retmarker’s US patent 8,041,091, co-author in some technical publications and I was also the coordinator of the company’s ISO13485 and ISO9001 Quality Management System certification (and Retmarker product CE marking). At Critical Group I am also serving as COO of onCaring, a former unit of Critical Health.
Meanwhile, I've founded Collectors Bridge, an hobby - I am an avid collector of Spectrum (Sinclair and Timex-Sinclair) computers - that became a full project and company. We aim at providing the best social platform to address the passion of collections and collectables. Our project won a Best Business Plan award in an Entrepreneurship competition (Arrisca-C, 2013) which contributed to create the company in 2014.
Because of my interest in Startups and Entrepreneurship and because of my interpersonal skills (namely the communication and natural networking) I normally coach other entrepreneurs that seek help. Formally, In 2013 I've became a mentor in the Portuguese National Entrepreneurship Network.
