VTM is an independent Consultancy company focused in strategic planning, transaction advisory and applied research in transport infrastructure and systems, logistics and waste management. Advisory experience covers aviation, rail and road sectors in areas such as performance and efficiency improvement of infrastructure and systems, asset “sweating”, demand and revenue forecasting, CBA’s, risk analysis and mitigation strategies, systems functional design, judiciary and arbitral disputes, bid strategy and delivery. Work is developed under different approaches, including strategic appraisals of new business opportunities, transaction and bid / tender advisory, public and private sector investment planning and applied research in transport. Clients include private sector investors and financiers, transport infrastructure and services operators, public agencies and international organizations. Key projects in Portugal include advisory to all road PPP schemes (with over 50 engagements), advisory to the winners of the 3 rail PPP / franchises contracts awarded, advisory to the Portuguese high speed rail SPV company, advisory to the third Tagus crossing in Lisbon and the design and implementation of a unique and tailor made continuous collaborative performance and level of service monitoring and improvement programme for the 5 main Portuguese airports. In Africa, our assessments covered advisory services on demand / revenue and CAPEX strategy on 7 road concession schemes and 2 airports. In Brazil, experience covers advisory services in traffic / revenue and CAPEX strategy review on 2 major toll roads debt restructuring operations.
