Protofos Farms Limited is a company that is working to unlock the under-explored opportunities in the value chain of the Agricultural sector- improving Food Security. We desire to cultivate One hundred thousand Metric tonnes of Rice in the next five years and have processed about one-quarter of the same. We are already a mechanised and technologically driven mono-crop- rice farming business. Therefore, we operate as a farm that does not only work as a large scale farm but also aggregates smallholder farmers in clusters and communities. We are helping in improving their economy by providing them with the requisite value chain services, which is not limited to Training, Technology and Market, making us an operator of large scale farms with clusters of smallholder farmers. We stand as a bridge between the smallholder farmers and the big industry players in the value chain of rice. These collaborations help the smallholder farmers involved in the program who get an average of Two hectares each within the group of a large farm in their various communities. Once the smallholder farmer gets a piece of our large farm, with the necessary documentation, we give them sensitisation, train them on our production system and begin farming operation with all the input provided by Protofos Farms to them.
