We are producers of Chocolate and Cocoa by products Company Background Montanos’ Chocolate Co Ltd is a small family owned and operated local dark chocolate company that was formerly a subsidiary of Xtatik Limited and Machel Montano. Xtatik limited saw the interest from the market and decided to explore this idea as a viable form of income diversification. As of September 2018 Montanos’ Chocolate Co Ltd has been the official trading company for our brand. Our single origin bar is made from Trinitario beans and has three simple ingredients: sun dried cocoa nibs, cocoa butter and demerara brown sugar. Our product has no dairy, mold inhibitors, preservatives or nuts and can be considered a vegan food item. We entered the market in 2014 with our then “Happy Nation” 50g bar as a Carnival and Valentines Day promotion and received great interest in the product. Following the success of the season and continued customer interest, we decided to contribute to the development of our cocoa and chocolate industry with the production of our own bar. Since our launch we have since conducted extensive market research to ascertain consumer demands and have now redesigned and adjusted the size 25g to reflect a more consumer savvy look. In the short to medium term we are due to launch 5 other chocolate and chocolate related products that will further diversify our brand. We believe that our celebrity status will propel interest in the revitalization of our local cocoa industry. Our aim is to produce high quality local chocolate and chocolate byproducts that will assist in contributing to the overall sustainability of the cocoa industry.
