CYCOM), is an Urban, rural and inner-city community development Urban planning firm whose mission is to serve the public and private interests in advancing community planning and urban development. A firm with exceptional command of strengths and vicissitudes of inner-city communities, CYCOM is poised to provide architectural solutions to small and regional complex urban/community planning problems alike. Our vision is to replicate our capacity to formulate innovative community development solutions utilizing the Geographic Laboratory Center approach for each Community districts across the city. This new method of community and urban planning practice integrates state-of-the-art technology with a careful analysis of the social, economic and political context of the community in order to achieve the most synergistic solutions to society’ needs at the local, regional and statewide level. The first model Geographic Laboratory Center operates out of District 12 in Washington Heights in 2000. Our Lab focuses on Research & Development, demographic and statistical trends physical planning and implementation. During the last 23 years, CYCOM has been establishing the bases for its public/private community development mission. Our proposal includes new urban planning and community development concepts for the City of New York and the establishment of a public and private urban planning center facility, The Geographic Information Laboratory CYCOMLAB for urban and community development. The lab concept is a synergy of similar urban development models being used for governments, environmental agencies space and planning community agencies, to research and development the public and private sector across the world. The lab function combines formal methods of urban and community planning, community development grass roots movements with new dazzling electronic mapping technology. (GIS, Map-Info Auto-cad, Census Data, SRI and others) and AI and its derivatives.
