Second semester of 2016:

• LAC Flavors 2016, September 28-30, Lima, Peru

One of the most influential and popular business meetings of the Food and Beverage industry in the region, LAC Flavors brings together exporters from Latin America and the Caribbean with buyers worldwide to generate new business opportunities. The 8th edition of LAC Flavors will be held in Lima, Peru, within EXPOALIMENTARIA 2016, the largest exhibition of food, beverages, machinery, equipment, supplies, packaging, restaurants and gastronomy services of Latin America. This edition is being organized by the IDB in collaboration with the Peruvian Export and Tourism Promotion Commission –PROMPERU and the Peruvian Association of Exporters –ADEX.

• China – LAC Business Summit 2016, October 14-15, Tangshan, China

This summit aims to strengthen and expand trade ties between China and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), through the exchange of ideas and experiences in panels with top executives and governmental leaders well as through the organization of one-on-one business meetings between entrepreneurs from both regions. It will take place on October 14-15 in the city of Tangshan, China. The organization is in charge of the IDB and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade –CCPIT.

• Japan – LAC Business Summit 2016, November 01-02, Tokyo, Japan

This forum seeks to boost Japan's efforts to strengthen economic ties and cooperation with Latin America and the Caribbean; through the exchange of ideas and experiences on trade facilitation, infrastructure, energy, connectivity and sustainable urban planning, among other topics. The event will take place in November in Tokyo, Japan, and will be organized by the IDB jointly with the Japan External Trade Organization –JETRO.

First quarter of 2017:

• Outsource2LAC, March 2017, San José, Costa Rica

The 6th edition of the Latin American and Caribbean Outsourcing and Offshoring Summit –Outsource2LAC–, aims to present the main trends in the global services industry, identify new business opportunities available to the region, follow up with the negotiations initiated in the virtual edition held in July 2016, and propose strategies for growth and sustainable development of the service sector in Latin America and the Caribbean. This edition of Outsource2LAC will take place in March 2017 in San Jose, Costa Rica and will be organized by the IDB jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica –COMEX and PROCOMER, Costa Rica’s Trade Promotion Organization.
