Further details of our work is as follows: Talent Development: The training of people particularly within the logistics industry. Plomo has tremendous track record in training prime mover operators, port workers and seafarers. Plomo has its own accredited seafarer training centre in Malaysia and offers a variety of specialist courses. Marine Expertise Services: Over the past decade, Plomo has undertaken over 100 consulting projects providing marine expertise services globally. Projects have included safety and risk assessments; bankability/feasibility studies; inspections and surveys; port infrastructure planning; procurement advisory services; and compliance services. Plomo uses a 6-mission bridge simulator in Malaysia to assist with training, planning, re-creating and simulating risk situations whereby accurate training and situational assessments can be completed. Marine Asset Management: Plomo specialises in the the marine asset management of the offshore oil and gas industry. Services include crewing, manpower supply, chartering, ship broking, ship management and crew management. In addition, Plomo provides advisory services on marine asset investments and strategy. Plomo is supported in these three pillars by its' digital services division. Plomo's digital division concentrates on technologies such as Virtual Reality and Augmented reality to support industrial applications. In addition, the digital division is ground breaking in its work within the gamification of eLearning for industrial use. In other words, training is done in a video-game environment to better allow staff to understand and embed the learning. Plomo has worked as a facilitator, investor and project sponsor for a variety of projects and looks forward to continuing to do so in Africa.
