Atral started its operations in 1947, as many pharmaceutical companies, within a pharmacy in Lisbon. The spin-off happened in 1948. Exports started in 1949, first to Africa and Middle East and then to North and South America, being approved by the FDA for the first time, during the 60’s. Today, Atral develops, produces and exports pharmaceutical forms, as Oral Solids and Liquids, Injectable Penicillin’s and Cephalosporin’s, for more than 20 countries. In Portugal, Atral is one of the more recognized brands, with a commercial team of 30 people, working near Doctors, Pharmacies and Hospitals. Atral is regularly inspected by Infarmed, belonging to EMA Network, and has products approved by Pharmaceutical Authorities all over the world.
