Kee-Chanona Ltd. (KCL) was incorporated in Trinidad and Tobago on 13 November 1987; its registered address is Corner Warren & Smart Streets, St. Augustine. The three founding members of the company were Andrew Chin Yuen Kee, Thomas Chanona and Anthony Labban. At that time Trinidad & Tobago was at a low point of the economic recession of the 80’s. When the construction company with which the trio was employed elected to close their operations; these three took the bold and risky decision to open a new construction company, Kee-Chanona Limited. Despite the untimely demise of the first General Manager, Andrew Chin Yuen Kee during the first year of the company’s existence, his surname continued as part of the amalgam that forms the company’s name. Today, Thomas Chanona functions as the Chief Executive Officer with Anthony Labban assuming the role of the Contracts Manager. Since the time of its inception the company has continually built its market share of the local and regional construction industry and is presently considered one of the major building contractors of Trinidad & Tobago and across the Caribbean Region. Our average annual construction turnover has grown from less than USD 1M to over USD 20M, and permanent staff increasing in number from 8 to over 74 persons. KCL has developed over its history, management support systems that allow us to maintain a professional and structured approach to our deliverables, and a vast knowledge of local conditions has been amalgamated from working on sites throughout Trinidad & Tobago and the Caribbean Region. Having in the last 30 years of existence, interfaced with and developed sound working relationships with many of the key stakeholders of the construction industry, KCL stands today in a solid position to respond to any call to serve both private and public sector clients.
