We first learned about brewing in New York. After receiving an instructional e-mail about brewing artisanal beer, we began experimenting in the basement of our home in New York. Our enthusiasm led to us teaching our families in Mexico. I also attended classes for distilling whiskey and gin. We added these activities to our experiments. In doing so, our family created Destileria Ayutla.
